The Sleeping Lady Private Retreat is located approximately 4.5 hour drive south of Perth, 20 minutes from Mount Barker and a 30 minute drive from Albany on the south coast.
The perfect base for exploring Porongurup and Stirling Range National Parks, Albany and the Great Southern region of Western Australia.
Nestled on the northern slopes of the Porongurup mountain range, on a private and secluded 5 acre property, the chalet is surrounded by vineyards with stunning mountain views.
Travelling from Perth
Drive south on Albany Highway about 350km until you reach Mt Barker. On the southern side of town turn left onto Oatlands Rd. Oatlands Rd becomes Porongurup Rd. Follow this for 28 km and you’ll find the driveway for The Sleeping Lady on the right. If you hit Chester Pass Rd you’ve passed it and you need to go back 1.5 km.
During the 28km Porongurup Rd section you’ll pass Porongurup Shop & Tearooms; it’s about another 8km from there.
Travelling from Albany
Drive north on Chester Pass Rd for 40km until you see a left turn at Porongurup Rd. Take that turn and drive for 1.5 km. On the left you’ll see a driveway with signs for Castle Rock Estate and The Sleeping Lady. You’re there!
