This place is wonderful. We have travelled a lot and this is, without doubt, one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The cabin is stocked with absolutely everything – most places skimp on many things, Nichola & The Sleeping Lady provide everything. Thank you so much for your generosity. It was also wonderful to have so much storage space – we could actually unpack & put away everything instead of living out of suitcases – so nice not to be cluttered. Thank you for your wonderful kindness & hospitality. PS Love to Millie the dog! PPS The peace & quiet was also perfect.
What a gem this place is. Sparkling clean and everything you could possibly need. Comfy bed, warm – r/c and fire. Amazing little well equipped kitchen and views to die for. Unfortunately it was too cold to eat on the deck. Then the wineries – esp. this one. Great bubbles enjoyed with the cheese board! This is on our “to return to” list. Thank you Nichola. PS Millie came over for a little pat and to say hi. Very nice.
We have loved our stay in this gorgeous little cottage with the most beautiful views! We appreciated all of the thoughtful little touches around the property. We are already planning to come back.

When we opened the door, we were taken away by the majestic sunset over the Stirlings. Our stay was made complete with all the fine details and care Nichola & Ben have put into this place. We loved waking up and saying goodnight to the Sleeping Lady. We wished we stayed Longer. Thank you for taking care of us, including opening the windows to let the cool air into the place before we arrived (it had been a super hot day!).
“Sleeping Lady” definitely lived up to all our expectations! We spent 4 days in the beautiful cottage and greatly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, the nature walks and vicinity to Mt Barker & Albany. Thank you Nichola for this beautiful accommodation! We will be back!
Wow! Wow! Wow! What a gorgeous little place! Our first time in the Porongurups for our 40th B.day celebrations and what an amazing trip we’ve had. Staying here and hiking Bluff Knoll has been a highlight. It was lovely to meet you Nichola (and Millie) lol. Thanks so much for making us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back.

It is good that not everything changes in this world. Seven years after a memorable stay, we come back… and The Sleeping Lady is still the pretty, practical, charming bucolic retreat we remember, with it’s extraordinary views and world class hikes in the Porongurup & Stirling ranges. We made the most of it. Climbed Mt Magog this time (that’s the one right in front of The Sleeping Lady). We leave as charmed as the 1st time. Hopefully it won’t take another seven years before we come back.
We enjoyed the day’s in your beautiful home. We discover the hiking way to Castle Rock and love the fire place in the evening. Thank you for this really nice place.

We’ve stayed in a number of cottages, the key criteria being a view and serenity – The Sleeping Lady excelled on both counts. However, what made the stay special was the thoughtfulness of the hosts. Every possible need was anticipated, nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant.
Dear Nichola & family, This cosy, gorgeous home is just perfect in every way! Absolutely amazing views, serene & private, has everything one could possibly need and even perfect weather during our stay!! We loved it!! Exhilarating climbs/hikes up Bluff Knoll, Granite Skywalk, Nancy’s Peak & Devil’s Slide. All wonderful! Delicious Maleeya’s Thai food. Attentive, but sensitive hospitality from you. Thanks so much Nichola, Ben and your lovely son, who brought us firewood on a number of occasions! The cottage was spotless, incredibly well laid out and prepared, the breakfasts were sumptuous, your organisation and availability were all totally en pointe. A beautiful location looking out over the vines to the Stirling Ranges. We had perfect weather & a clear view. Crisp mornings & calm sunsets. A cozy house, uncluttered yet with all the needs of travellers catered for. Thank you for a fabulous stay on your friendly farmstay.

We recently had the pleasure of 3 glorious (too short) nights at The Sleeping Lady cottage. What a delightful place to stay, we were so warmly welcomed by Nichola after driving from Perth with the kids. Can thoroughly recommend the fabulous cheese platter on offer – nothing more relaxing than sitting on the balcony with uninterrupted views, a glass of Porongurup Riesling and one of Nichola’s platters! So much to do in the area, perfectly located with everything you need including great coffee. Nichola and Ben are wonderful hosts and we will certainly be going back.

This Lady is Devine and so is Nichola. Customer service was spot on in my opinion. We bought fresh eggs and a beautiful cheese platter that was very well presented by Nichola. The cottage was outstanding and that view OMG. This place is awesome. The service is excellent, the property is beautiful and we drove away with forever lasting loving memories, which means we must return for a much longer stay next time. We highly recommend The Sleeping Lady. But don’t spread the word lets keep it a hidden secret gem.
Superbly situated property with fabulous views to the Stirling Ranges. Set in the peace and quiet of a vineyard with just the birds for company.
The house is very comfortable, clean and well equipped and takes full advantage of the amazing view. The verandah is the place to be as the sun sets with a glass of wine and the sound of the Kookaburras.
Albany is just up the road with lots to offer and along the coast there are some lovely sandy coves perfect for a few hours in the sun.
We have stayed twice and have every intention of returning in the near future.

The Sleeping Lady is, in our opinion, the most beautiful ‘piece of Paradise’ in Australia. It is especially spectacular in Autumn when the vineyards display their wares, and Sept/Oct during the canola fields’ expression of their brilliant glory! Nichola is extremely welcoming and joyful, the ‘Creme de la creme’ of hospitality and very responsive to any query or assistance required. She is a delight and reflection of her gorgeous surroundings! We had the absolute pleasure of spending our honeymoon there – and because it wasn’t long enough, we came for another few nights a very short time later! We have had 2 anniversaries there also, and intend to make it our permanent ‘anniversary destination.’ The cabin itself is very well equipped and really cosy, especially when you have the log fire roaring! If you are in desperate need to get away from it all, de-stress, and regain your sanity from this fast-paced world, The Sleeping Lady is exactly what the doctor will order, and is absolutely ‘THE PLACE TO BE’, we guarantee it!

We have no idea why it too us so long to come and stay!! The view alone is stunning and instantly relaxing. We loved the visits from the little bird at the kitchen window. The cottage has everything! We even caught up on some movies that we had not seen before. We had perfect weather for walks and winery visits. We would love to come back and enjoy this splendid spot once again. Thank you!
Thank you Nichola & Ben, We have been around WA quite a lot, and “The Sleeping Lady” would have to be up there near the top. Very special time here celebrating our 37th Wedding Anniversary. The cottage is perfect, the view wonderful, so peaceful.

A lovely cosy chalet with everything we could possibly need. The most outstanding views!! This region is so pretty and relaxing. Over-all it has been the perfect break for us both, with five nights of un-interrupted sleep. We enjoyed the peace.
